Alexander Brooks
Alexander Brook (July 14, 1898 – February 26, 1980) was an American realist painter, active from 1910 until 1966. The Smithsonian American Art Museum** describes his body of work as “paintings, mostly still lifes, landscapes and women”. He won second prize to Picasso's first prize at the Carnegie Institute International Exhibition of Modern Painting in 1930.
