Charles Calverly
Charles Calverley (1833–1914) was a respected American sculptor known for his finely crafted portrait busts and medals. Originally trained as an ornamental stonecutter, he later studied at the National Academy of Design and became known for his neoclassical style and attention to detail. Calverley created portraits of prominent Americans, including political and cultural figures, and was a founding member of the National Sculpture Society, helping to shape American sculpture in the late 19th century.
